Tire Failure -Crashworthiness

Tire Failure -Crashworthiness: "Currently, light truck tires and passenger tires do not use the new technology that has been designed to prevent tread separation from occurring. This new type of manufacturing tire has been around for years now, yet it has not been incorporated because of the additional cost of production that it will bring. The tire design prevents tread separation because it surrounds the belt plies that are below the tread with a nylon cap to add a layer between the steel belt and the road to better withstand moisture. This nylon cap also creates additional stability to the interior tire"
