Chevrolet-avalanche

Chevrolet-avalanche

Driving hundreds of feet up the side of a mountain in southern Alberta, Canada on a Sunday drive with my wife and friend when suddenly and dramatically the Chev Avalanche I was driving had a flat. Getting out to take a look and discover a two to three inch split in the tire dead in the middle of the centre treads. Lucky isn't the word, we did a quick tire change and got home.

Goodyear, Well if you say so. Wranglers are not the best tires Chev and GSL could put on our vehicles for our family safety.

Lot's of people like us should be very afraid for themselves and their loved ones.

My wife and boy said they where glad they were not driving when it happened.

Yes and it went in for service today at GSL, but sits outside my house now in the same state as it was Sunday with its " Full Sized Spare" and yet mismatched tires.

It seems it is perfectly normal and not covered for tires under 11,000 kms to separate and split down the very middle. Normal with no sharp rocks or sharp things to poke it let alone split the slit I have in my tire, in sight anywhere on a recently graded mountain road.

Geez I wonder what GSL would have said if you were going down the mountain, and that blowout happened as you and your family flew of the side of a 500 ft. drop, as your Avalanche rolled, and smashed into rocks and trees, possibly killing or injuring your family members. Then after the investigation finding out that it was tire failure. I wonder would they be willing to comensate you?...I think not ,they would refer you or your relatives(since your probably dead)to the tire manufacturer, and say its there problem! not ours.
When what they should do is to put a brand new tire on "GRATIS" and if you have any other problem sir with your tires or your Avalanch, please dont hesitate to call us we will be here for you. because we value your business... But you and I both know that will never happen because as far as I'm concerned GSL and Insurance companies are all cut fron the same cloth, if we can get away with gouging the customer...lets , one pissed off customer wont matter to our bottom line, after all we need to make as much money off these SAPS as we can!.
